Patile’s family has been in the fashion industry for two generations, so she grew up visiting factories and fabric stores, along with playing with fabric. At CSB-SD, she learns and discovers something new every day, which opens up more curiosity and interests. Her process begins with creating artworks - sketches, paintings, collage - to dive into inspiration by exploring thought processes and feelings; she then starts developing cuts and prints from the artworks. In regards to design, the techniques she is currently most interested in are fabric manipulation and draping.
