  • Creative Space Beirut (CSB) is a social enterprise with free education at the heart of its mission. Its aim is to support the tuition free fashion design program, Creative Space Beirut School of Design (CSB-SD). You can find more information on the about page on our website creativespacebeirut.com.

  • CSB-SD offers an intensive three year program, entirely tuition free. Transportation and materials are also covered. Students must participate in daily technical and conceptual courses, as well as projects and internships. All information is available on the CSB-SD website, www.csb-sd.com.

  • CSB-SD offers technical and conceptual courses such as Design Development, Pattern Making, Draping, Textile Design, Illustration, Tailoring, Construction, and courses in design technology such as Digital Fashion and 3D architecture. At the end of each year, students create collections that are exhibited to the public. 3rd year students create full thesis collections that are exhibited in a fashion show.   • How can I apply ?

    Applications are rolling until the September 29 deadline each year. You can find the application form and further instructions on the admissions section of the CSB-SD website.

    Can anyone apply ?

    Applicants must be between the ages of 16-25, and must demonstrate a level of talent or know-how in design or adjacent fields. In addition, applicants must prove that they do not have the resources to attend a paid institution due to low income or other circumstances.

    I'm not Lebanese, can I still apply?

    Yes, as long as you are living in Lebanon, you can eligible to apply regardless of nationality or status.

    Do you accept students that don't reside in Lebanon?

    We currently do not accept students that reside outside of Lebanon, as we are unable to facilitate visas due to not being yet registered with the Ministry of Education.

    When is the application deadline?

    The deadline to apply for the 2024 academic year is September 29, 2023. Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered for the following year.

    What is the application/admission process?

    The process begins with completing and submitting an application, which is found on the csb-sd.website. Once submitted, you will recieve a confirmation email. If you have been accepted to the next stage of the process, you will recieve an email scheduling an interview, where you will need to bring in a portfolio or samples of your work. Based on interviews, 25 applicants will be asked to participate in a 3-4 day workshop, which will include activities such as illustration, draping, and pattern making. Based on the results of the workshops, a select group of individuals will be accepted into the program. For the 2024 academic year, you can expect to recieve communication of admission in late October-November.

    If accepted, when does the academic year start?

    The forthcoming academic year begins in January 2024.

    I still haven't heard back from you since i applied, can i get some updates?

    We are currently processing the applications, and will get back to you as soon as possible. Please note, you will recieve an email whether or not you have been accepted to the next phase.

  • CSB-SD is not formally accredited. Graduates recieve an internal certification confirming the completion of the program.

  • CSB-SD courses are held primarily in Arabic, although supporting materials or tecnologies are often in English.

  • Graduates recieve a certificate of completion. One of CSB's primary missions is to offer support to its Alumni. Alumni are supported in finding work opportunities, allowed access to CSB resources including space and equipment, and may have their work displayed and sold through CSB platforms.

  • If you are accepted into CSB-SD's core program, you are expected to take all designated courses. If you are interested in only one or a few courses, you can take a look at our workshop program.

  • CSB offers paid workshops in the field of fashion design. Courses range from beginner to advanced. Reoccuring ones include Creative Draping, Pattern Making, Illustration, and much more. You can find information on the Workshops page on the CSB-SD website.

  • You can create custom items with Creative Space Beirut. Call + 961 81 32 67 73 / + 961 1 20 10 88 to make an appointment. If visions align, we can pair you with an alumni student or production team to bring your idea to life.

  • The CSB brand is designed and produced by the in-house team. Students do not design for the CSB label while they are enrolled. However, unique pieces designed and created by the students throughout their courses may be sold on CSB platforms.

  • We are open on weekdays from 9-6 and on Saturdays 10-5. If you would like to make a visit after opening hours, you can book an appointment by calling +961 81 32 67 73.

  • The program is funded through grants, scholarships, donations, and through the sales of CSB products and services.

  • There are various ways to support CSB's mission. From donations big or small available through our website, to sponsoring a student's education per academic year, to purchasing items from our shop, to spreading the love through social media.
